Burning smell from the AC vents

Im a getting this weird smell from the vents when the AC is on. Had it checked but they didnt find any.
anyone had experienced this? ngl, this is freaking me out!

This post reminded me of a bad memory but at least I can laugh about it now For weeks back when my ex was driving his SUV, I would tell him I'm smelling something foul but he never really paid full attention to it.. not until we were on a highway and saw smoke just near the windshield! Crazy! Now that I think about it, it makes sense we're not each other's ride or die AHAHAHA

what specific smell? did you check the icon that has an arrow that points inside a car? You should keep that on otherwise itll let the outside air in your car and maybe thats the reason why you smell weird stuff, it could be the outs

Get a carbon filter and whenever you're driving turn off air re-circulation at least a few minutes before you park your car. Hope this helps

Is it like something is burning? It could be overheating. Also, try to visit other dealer or maybe go back and have it checked again. You know sometimes it doesnt show when you go to the dealer lol

are you sure it's coming from the AC? I had the same case before, but it turned out that the smell was coming from my other electronic near the AC lol

I suppose it's like a barbecue but instead of some juicy pork, it's mold

@rockdj88 I'm guessing you have the recirculation on all the time and your have mold somewhere in the vents, coil or filter. You need a proper cleanup and the smell should be gone. I say should be, so don't blame me if I'm not right

Agree with this. Would like to know the specific smell. If it's weird maybe it is related to the coolant or something. Since it's only happening if the AC is on? You tried flushing?
