Painting exhaust tips?

Honestly, I wouldn't bother painting the exhaust tips, tried it on a different ride a couple years back, used high temp paint and everything, and it still ended up chipping and looking worse after a few months, it's tough to get it to hold up unless you prep like crazy and recoat constantly cos of the heat and debris, the black tips already look decent as is on 24 sport l, I'd just leave them alone unless they're damaged or rusting
Did you prep the surface first like sanding or using a high-temp primer before painting, or did you just go straight in with the heat-resistant paint?

got one tip so your can be successful, which is use the right paint. the most important thing is to use a high heat paint or exhaust paint. Regular spray paint will burn off almost immediately.
Look for brands like VHT (Very High Temperature) Caliper Paint or their special exhaust coating.
These are designed to withstand the extreme heat from the exhaust and won't flake or peel.
Even with the right paint, the prep work is what will make or break the job. You have to remove the tips and clean them thoroughly to get rid of any grime or oil.
Then, use a fine grit sandpaper to scuff up the surface a little. This gives the paint something to grip onto, which is key for a long lasting finish
