Gawd, is checking an oil filter this hard? I've been trying to take it off with different kinds of wrenches for a while lol. Mine is a 2005 CRV second Gen. Anyone here know which kind of wrench to open this?

honestly if you've already tried a few wrenches and it's still not budging maybe the problem isn't just the tool you're using could be over-tightened or stuck from grime build-up have you tried an oil filter cap wrench? those usually grip better especially on a 2005 CRV otherwise you might wanna try a strap wrench or even just a good pair of gloves for extra grip sometimes simpler tools work better

Hey, did you finally win that battle? What kind of wrench ended up doing the trick for your '05 CRV?
