is it worth it

i know most of youll say a newer car is worth it but i want to hear an opion from people whove had my gen and the new one. the third gen is nice and i hope the latest one is much much better. i still haven't decided to make the switch and even if i do i still plan to keep the current one so im just gatering opinions

I have the second gen and my daughter has the newer ones, they both are great. the obvious difference between both is the design and features ofc. The reliability and longevity, Honda is one of the best out there, you can have any CRV forever if you maintain it properly. I can tell you that both of them are worth the money.

I have got the new one. no, new isn't necessarily better but at least you cam stay up to date and not lag behind when it comes to new features or something.

the new one definitely has more advanced features, I'm always into technology, so I like the new gen better

if money is not an issue, i will go for the new ones. You just have to keep up with the technology now. it can make your driving life easier most of the time.

I've looked at the newest generation and they seem to have nice upgrades, but I would say new isn't necessarily better!
I got a 2021 non-hybrid and it's been a solid, reliable car for me!
I can't complain about its gas mileage and it still feels pretty comfortable for longer trips.
You can check if you like the new features and if you're willing to pay for them.
Maybe you can test drive a new one so you can see the differences for yourself?

Nothing like the old classics! I mean a new car is worth it. Totally. No arguments on that. But then again it's also worth buying old models and spending a little cheaper on revamping them with the same OEM stuff. You're gonna save up money for better MPG.

I have a 3rd gen (2011 EX) and a 6th gen (2024 hybrid sport), both purchased with less than 10k miles, and love them both. 3rd gen has 150k miles and has so far been more reliable, better overall visibility, and is better off-road with the short wheelbase. 6th gen outperforms where you would expect: safety, gas mileage, tech, comfort (especially 2nd row), cargo space, traction control - stability at highway speeds and cornering is way better. I use premium fuel in the 6th gen hybrid vs regular fuel in the 3rd gen but 3rd gen requires more frequent oil changes. Note the 6th gen hybrid cannot tow and has reduced weight capacity over the standard gas versions. With the 6th gen hybrid battery weight, I burned through the stock Bridgestone tires quickly after a couple road trips loaded down with gear and people. If I had to choose, I'd probably still go new, but the 3rd gen is very solid.
