TPMS light always On

Hey everyone, I've had a used CR-V for almost a year, and the TPMS light stays on. It resets but comes back after 30 minutes, the tires are fine. I'm not sure if this model uses rim sensors or the wheel-speed kind, maybe the latter? Anyway, can that light be deleted? My research says not really, unless I want it stuck on forever. I'd rather fix it myself than pay hundreds. If it's the wheel-speed type, I'm down to try. Has anyone done this before and can walk me through it?

Sounds like your CR-V might use the wheel speed sensor system, especially if there's no sensor in the valve stems. Have you tried doing a triple calibration reset? Heard that doing it three times in a row with a few seconds in between helps clear the issue. Let's see what the others here say!

I'll try the triple reset, thanks but if Honda knows this system is glitchy, why not give drivers a permanent override option instead of forcing us to live with false alerts?

You can try recalibrating it through the TPMS menu if your model has it or check all four tires are matching brand, size, and wear. Rotating them sometimes helps too and you can't truly "delete" the system without tricking the ABS module or digging into the wiring, which isn't worth it dear

Thanks for the tips! I'm new to TPMS stuff. how do I know if my car has a recalibration option in the menu? And when rotating the tires, does it matter which pattern I follow or is any rotation better than none?
